THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS UPON US
Next week, we will continue Rockdale’s tradition of crafting Filipino parols (traditional holiday lanterns) and holiday cards for the older adults in our local community. As Thanksgiving approaches, please take the time to acknowledge who and what you are grateful for, and join us in this heart-warming creative meet-up.
Wednesday 11/20 at 6pm in the MPR
We are looking for some experienced parol makers who can help teach and assist the other volunteers. Is this you? Please email Mariann at vp@rockdalepta.org if you can help!
SAVE THE DATE
Our first Dine-Out FUNdraiser is scheduled for Wednesday 12/11with Taco Social and Luv Ice Cream! More details and reminders to come once we receive final approval.

Honestly, you’re all amazing. So each month, we’d like to introduce and acknowledge an association member who has really gone above and beyond.
Please meet: ELIZABETH ROSEN
Elizabeth is a writer for work, a baker for fun, and a jigsaw puzzle fanatic for sanity!
As a proud mom of two - Teddy (5th) and Otis (3rd) - she values the close-knit, supportive community at Rockdale. The family loves walking to school together, often alongside other local families, and is so grateful for the friendships they’ve built.
For almost two years, Elizabeth has been championing the effort to increase safety at the intersection of Yosemite/Avoca. She is responsible for the occasional police presence and last year’s crossing guard. But she’s not done yet! The fight will continue until some sort of permanent safety measure is in place so that families who walk to school can do so safely. She also leads the charge on National Walk to School Day, connecting with local agencies and district members to attend the event and hear the community’s concerns.
Thank you for your tireless efforts to promote student pedestrian safety, Elizabeth!

CLASS DOJO PTA CLASSROOM
Joining this classroom means that PTA calls for volunteers, important updates, and event flyers will appear in your Class Dojo feed, right alongside announcements from the school and your student’s teacher. This will not replace regular PTA emails, but we hope it will allow for easy communication and participation between Rockdale families and the PTA as Dojo is already a part of your lives.
