The PTA connects families, schools and communities by providing
programs and services at Rockdale. PTA is the nation’s largest volunteer-led child-advocacy association working to improve kids’ education, health and well-being. When you are a PTA member, you are an advocate for your child and for all children.
About Rockdale VAPA PTA
Who Are We?
The Rockdale VAPA Magnet PTA is made up of parents, school staff, students, grandparents, relatives, friends and community members with a passion for enriching the elementary school experience of Rockdale’s student body through opportunities, awareness, encouragement and support.
What Do We Do?
PTA members meet on a regular basis to plan Rockdale community engagement events and find creative ways to raise money to support the needs of every student. We engage with Eagle Rock neighborhood leaders to enrich our whole community. PTA helps build lasting relationships that make our school a great place to learn and connect.
Why Do We Do It?
PTA strengthens the school-home connection, building community through shared ideas and work to provide the best public school experience possible. The PTA funds many of the arts programs and all of its programming through creative FUNraising and community support. Ancillary funding is needed now more than ever,

This is Caitlin’s 3rd year on the PTA board. She has a daughter who attends Rockdale. Caitlin is instrumental in organizing our meeting materials, notes and mailing lists. She makes virtually every process we do better with her organization.

This is Haiyen's 1st year on the PTA Board and her 7th year as a Rockdale parent. She has 3rd and 5th graders attending Rockdale and a 7th grader at ERHS. Her name is pronounced hi-'YEN.

Nga has a 3rd grader here at Rockdale and loves our community. This is her 2nd year as Volunteers Chair. She believes that parent/family participation and support truly help make our public schools great!
